It’s Peel Season! 🍂

The best time of the year!
As the weather cools, the days get shorter and summer fades into fall, we get to dive back into some of our favourite results-driven skin treatments.
Fall is the perfect time to focus on reversing the visible effects of summer and giving your skin a little extra love after months of sun, heat and outdoor activities.
And one of our favourites? Peels!
Meet the Dermalogica Pro Power Peel
The Dermalogica Pro Power Peel is one of our most customizable skin treatments. It uses professional-strength acids that can be layered and customized to your skin's needs and goals.
It's an excellent option for addressing concerns including:
✨ Acne and congestion
✨ Hyperpigmentation and uneven skin tone
✨ Signs of aging
✨ Dull, tired-looking skin
✨ Uneven skin texture
Because everyone's skin is different, your peel is customized by your skin professional based on your current skin condition and what you're hoping to achieve.
More than one peel = better results
When it comes to professional skin treatments, consistency matters.
We typically recommend a series of 3 or 6 treatments to achieve more significant, cumulative results. Depending on your skin and treatment plan, peels can be performed as frequently as every two weeks.
Think of it like working out — one workout is great, but a consistent routine is what creates noticeable, lasting progress.
60 Minutes or 30 Minutes?
We offer two ways to get your peel fix:
ProPowerPeel 60 - Our full 60-minute treatment gives us more time to customize your experience and incorporate additional steps to support your skin goals.
ProPowerPeel 30 - A 30-minute express option when you're short on time but still want the benefits of a professional peel.
We'll help determine which option makes the most sense for your skin and your goals.
What Happens After Your Peel?
Depending on the peel and your individual skin, you may experience some dryness, flaking or peeling in the days following your treatment.
This is completely normal — but please don't pick!
We know it's tempting, but picking or pulling at peeling skin can cause unnecessary irritation and may increase the risk of post-inflammatory pigmentation or scarring.
Instead, let your skin do its thing.
Hydration + SPF are non-negotiable
After a peel, your skin needs some extra TLC.
Keep your skin well hydrated and, most importantly, wear SPF every day. Your skin is more vulnerable after exfoliation, so protecting it from UV exposure is an essential part of your post-treatment care.
And here's a little scheduling tip:
If you know you're going to be doing something active or spending a lot of time outdoors on the weekend, book your peel for Monday.
We definitely don't recommend getting a peel on Thursday and then hitting the slopes on Saturday! 🎿
Planning your treatment around your activities gives your skin time to recover and helps you get the most from your treatment.
Is a Peel Right for You?
Not every peel is right for every person or every skin condition — which is why customization is so important.
If you're wondering whether the Pro Power Peel is right for your skin, we're always happy to help.
And before your appointment, be sure to check out our Peel Post-Care Guide so you know exactly what to expect and how to care for your skin afterward.
